Piper Tom
Tom Fittis is from Belfast, Northern Ireland. He began playing the bagpipes at the age of twelve, taught by his father, and others from the Major Sinclair Memorial Pipe Band, Belfast. At the age of fifteen, Tom joined the famous grade 1 Robert Armstrong Memorial Pipe Band, Belfast, continuing his tutelage under Pipe Majors Tommy Geddes and Harry Stevenson. At the age of sixteen, Tom won the All Ireland Solo Championship, and at eighteen, won the Ulster Piper of the Year competition. Tom has now been sharing his piping skills for over forty years!
